With new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) coming into force from 25th May 2018 in Lithuania, JSC Sailinga introduces Privacy Policy in accordance with amended requirements.
Being the recruitment agency, JSC Sailinga has a legitimate basis to collect, use and store the personal data provided by seafarers to act in their own interests and perform the further employment process. For manning purposes we may gather and retain the following personal data:
We collect all relevant information during personal visits, telephone conversations and via emails and pass it over to our Clients to review above mentioned details and decide if proposed candidature is suitable for employment. We may also share the personal data with third parties to arrange travel, accommodation, training and other services.
All personal information provided by seafarers is stored in the electronic, password-secured data-base: sailinga.lt/db/, the access to which is granted only to HR Inspectors of JSC Sailinga. The profiles of seafarers permanently employed via Sailinga are being constantly updated and retained; when terminating employment relationships, the profile of seafarer is kept for five (5) years and deleted afterwards if no contact was liaised within this period.
